Turkey Chilli Pasta

Hello! Today I will be telling you about a delicious pasta I made some time ago, which serves 4 people. I made the pasta to go with it, as I had lots of spare time, but if you don't want to, you can use any kind of shop-bought pasta to go with it instead. It is turkey chilli pasta, although it was meant to be chicken. You have to use chicken mince, but if you can't find any, like me, then turkey mince works just as well - it is still really, really good!! Here's how to make it:

First, heat 1tbsp sunflower/vegetable oil in a large pan. Add 500g chicken/turkey mince and stir to break up any of the lumps in the meat. Fry it on a high heat for 5 minutes. Next, add 1 garlic clove, crushed, 1tsp chilli powder, 1/2 tsp chilli flakes, 450ml passata and 1tbsp sun-dried tomato pesto. Season with salt and pepper and then bring to the boil. Reduce the heat and then simmer for 10 minutes.

While the sauce is cooking, cook 375g of your choice of pasta in boiling water for 8-10 minutes. If it is homemade pasta, like mine, cook it for only a minute or two. Drain the pasta and then mix it with chilli turkey sauce, and if you like, you can serve it with plenty of grated parmesan cheese. Yum!!

This pasta dish is really delicious, and a little spicy, but not overpowering. You don't have to serve it with anything, but if you want to, you could serve it with veg of your choice or crusty bread. I'm sure that anything you think of will be delicious!!
